I have children. How does worship work for us?

At Lafayette Community Church, all of Gods children are welcome. We do offer a nursery service for children ages newborn to 3 years old. Childrens church is age 4 (potty trained) to 5th grade. Children are dismissed to childrens church following worship songs.

How should we dress for worship?

We do not have a dress code. Most people in the congregation dress casually. We would like you to come as you are, Jesus does not judge you by how you are dressed.

During Communion what should I do?

Communion is held the first Sunday of each month. The elements are passed out by the church Elders. We ask that if you have not asked the Lord into your heart that you pass the elements by. However if you desire to accept the Lord as your savior, an elder or the pastor would love to pray with you.

Do we need to give an offering? How does that work?

Giving an offering is totally voluntary. If you desire to give while visiting us, you may give during the service when the offering plate is passed. If you desire to mail your offering to the church (checks only), see “Contact us” for the mailing address. And, you may give online by clicking on “Give” in the upper menu.

Where should I park? How do I get to the worship area?

The parking area is off of 2nd and Jefferson. Handicap parking is at the rear of the building near the church entrance. If you need special accommodations, please ask, as we are very willing to help you or a guest get to and from the vehicle.

I'm nervous in new social situations. Will I have to talk to people?

We understand that many people are anxious about visiting because they don’t like small talk or don’t like the feeling of being left alone. It’s OK if you come right as the service is starting and leave immediately afterward. Do not be alarmed if you are approached by someone wanting to get to know you. LCC is made up of lots of freindly people. If you wish you can check out our live stream worship service.
